from Spider Man and myself… Both pictures were taken inside Sony Building (former AT&T Building) plaza. The Sony Christmas decoration is not a real tree but a high-tech version composed of many reflective balls together.

The first picture shows the elevator shaft in the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square. It takes less than 30 seconds for the 49 floors (see also here a picture while in the elevators taken last year).

This is the last post in 2007:
- reflections of midtown skyline (Verizon Tower on the left, Empire State on the right) on the HBO building
- a black & white view of newly built Bank of America Tower (left), HBO building (middle) and Grace Building (right)

The skyscraper museum, now located in a permanent gallery in Battery Park City, inhabited four temporary spaces from 1997 to 2003. The museum has an exhibit on the construction and history of the World Trade Center and on the different designs of the Freedom Tower. Almost every surface in this museum is mirrored, giving the space an expansive feel. In reality, it is quite small. The interior was designed by Roger Duffy of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

The 3rd picture is an old pier on the frozen Hudson river. This is the first time since I came to New York that I have seen this huge river freeze.

Reflections in a Midtown Manhattan building. This is a blended combination of two other images. While I’m not a big fan of digital manipulations, I’m pretty much inspired by Made in Tokyo.
