New York’s Village Halloween Parade was in its 33rd year. It was the first time since I have been in New York that I could attend and it was GREAT, also because the organizers were kind enough to offer me a press pass. So I was in the middle of everything. See parade pictures album…

The parade is part of a celebration of Mexico’s independence from Spain in 1821 after an 11-year war. Three pictures are posted in New York 2007 album.

The German-American Steuben Parade is an annual Parade held every third Saturday in September in New York City. It was founded in 1957 by German-American immigrants who, being part of the largest ethnic group in the United States, wanted to keep the traditions of their homeland alive. Four pictures are posted in New York 2007 album.

Almost every country of the world has its own yearly parade in the streets of New York City. Of course you also have a parade for every major religious event or every major association or group. The first two pictures are from the Greek Day parade which took place on April 22. The last picture is a snapshot of the Sikh (religion in India) parade.
