The first picture shows the elevator shaft in the Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square. It takes less than 30 seconds for the 49 floors (see also here a picture while in the elevators taken last year).

The McGraw-Hill building (on the right side) is my workplace. At the time this picture was taken, it was the 45th tallest building in Manhattan with 51 floors and 207 meters height.
